Getting a credit report for your application

You are required to provide an Australian individual credit report from My Credit File(opens in a new window) (Equifax(opens in a new window)) or illion (formerly known as Dun & Bradstreet)(opens in a new window) or experian(opens in a new window).

There are few things you must note before you apply for a credit report:

  • The report must be generated within the three months of when you lodge your application with the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC).
  • When you apply for a credit report, make sure to list your:
    • current full name and all other names you have been known by in the last 10 years
    • preferred name that you state to be printed on the front of your licence or registration card
    • correct date of birth.

When you submit your application with the VGCCC make sure that:

  • All pages of the credit report are submitted
  • If the credit reporting agency has advised you that they have no record in your name, then a copy of their advice is submitted.

Please note that the VGCCC does not accept a credit score alone.

If your credit report has not met the above requirements then you will need to reapply for a new credit report.

Getting a credit report for your Casino Special Employee licence application

As part of your Casino Special Employee licence application, you will need to get a credit report.
