Fraudulent Ticket-In Ticket-Out tickets

Gaming venue staff should not pay out a Ticket-In Ticket-Out (TITO) ticket without scanning or validating it with their TITO provider.

We have received reports of a patron attempting to cash-in fraudulent TITO tickets and pressuring staff to cash them without performing the proper validations.

Staff should be supported to refuse paying any tickets that haven’t been confirmed as valid.

If staff scan a TITO ticket which is not valid then they should assume it is fraudulent and not pay the prize. If further checking is required a venue’s TITO provider should be able to assist.

For more information, refer to the Monitoring of tickets issued by gaming machines section of the Accounting Auditing Venue Requirements(opens in a new window) (AAVR) page on our website.
