Requirement to meet with a Venue Support Worker

Staff with day-to-day management responsibilities for the operation of an approved venue and responsible gambling officers (RGOs) are reminded of the Ministerial Direction to meet with a Venue Support Worker (VSW) every 6 months.

These meetings, either in-person or online, allow staff to ask questions and discuss any issues that may have arisen in the previous 6 months. Likewise, they are an opportunity for VSWs to share information and provide advice to RGOs.

Meetings should be recorded in the venue’s Responsible Gambling Register.
