New staff at a gaming venue have a lot to learn about the regulations of the industry and their intent, to protect patrons from gambling harm.

The poster above is to remind them about the dos and don’ts when working at a gaming venue, which managers should also read, reinforce and display in staff areas.
It is designed to remind new staff of their legal and moral obligations, including:
- what to do when patrons display signs of problem gambling
- what incidents to include in the responsible gambling register
- understanding the venue’s code of conduct
- preventing minors from entering the gaming floor
- how to report suspicious matters
- practising their Responsible Service of Gambling training
- promoting YourPlay
We’ll continue to provide industry with more new resources to help new staff get up to speed. If there is a specific resource that new staff can benefit from, please let us know and we’ll do our best to develop it.
