Venue operators may test poker machines during mandatory closure periods(opens in a new window) (4–10 am daily), but must ensure that no gameplay occurs outside the permitted hours of operation.
Poker machine tests that can occur without gameplay include:
- coin in validation test
- coin hopper test
- banknote acceptor validation test
- door operational test.
Tests should be performed in test/diagnostic mode, as performing them in game-enabled mode will cause meter movements e.g. cash in and cancel credits.
