Preventing money laundering in gaming venues

All gaming venue staff have a responsibility to keep Victoria’s gambling industry free from criminal influence and exploitation.

The following steps will help you and your staff minimise the risks of money laundering.

  1. Ensure staff are trained to spot suspicious behaviour. Recognising unusual activities or transactions and reporting them is key to maintaining a crime-free gaming venue.
  2. Use VGCCC resources to raise awareness among staff and customers of money laundering risks.
  1. Encourage staff to refresh their knowledge of money laundering risks, for example, by watching the video Keep it clean: Identify and prevent money laundering in your pub and club.

By staying vigilant and informed, you can play a vital role in protecting your venue and community.
