A staff member who manages or operates cash facilities within the gaming room must interact with patrons while they withdraw cash, as stated in the Gambling Regulation Act 2003.
A reminder to gaming venue staff that for each debit or credit card:
- only $500 can be withdrawn within 24 hours
- a maximum of $200 can be withdrawn in one transaction.
While RSG training is mandatory when working in the gaming room of a venue, it would be considered best practice for all staff to be trained in the Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG) when working in other areas of the venue. Having RSG training will help all staff monitor the welfare of players and intervene where a person is displaying behaviour consistent with gambling harm.
Let’s work together to ensure Victoria’s gambling industry operates with integrity, and is safe and fair.
Please contact your Venue Support Worker for questions regarding RSG training.
