Bingo annual returns

Organisations that conducted authorised bingo sessions between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026 must lodge an Annual Bingo Return with the VGCCC.

Annual Bingo Returns help ensure bingo is conducted in accordance with Victorian gambling laws and provide important information about bingo activity across the state.

Key dates

  • Declared Community or Charitable Organisations (DCCOs): Annual Bingo Returns are due by 1 October 2026.
  • Bingo Centre Operators (BCOs): Annual Bingo Returns are due by 30 September 2026.

Returns must be lodged through the VGCCC Portal by the authorised nominee.

What organisations need to know
A return must be submitted if your organisation conducted bingo sessions at any time during the 2025-26 financial year.

When preparing your return:

  • Submit a separate return for each Bingo Notice if your organisation holds more than one.
  • Do not include sessions where no participation fee was charged or where all proceeds were distributed as prizes during the session.
  • Where a Bingo Centre Operator conducted sessions on behalf of a DCCO, the Bingo Centre Operator is responsible for lodging the return.
  • If your organisation continues to conduct bingo sessions, ensure your declaration remains current. Declarations issued by the VGCCC expire every 10 years.

Organisations with annual bingo receipts of $50,000 or more must also upload a completed Auditor's Certificate as part of their Annual Bingo Return.

Any changes to bingo session details must be submitted through the VGCCC Portal.

Important reminder
The VGCCC may publish information contained in Annual Bingo Returns on its website.

Failure to lodge an Annual Bingo Return may result in regulatory action, including letters of censure, financial penalties, or conditions being imposed on a bingo authority.
