Gambling inspectors have identified many venues are not complying with their mandated CCTV obligations.
Section 4.2 of the Accounting and Auditing Venue Requirements specifies CCTV coverage of the gaming machine area and the need to keep footage for a minimum of 28 days.
Our inspectors have found:
- systems aren’t recording for the required 28 days
- there are incorrect times on the recordings
- cameras are not in the right location
- required areas are not covered by CCTV.
Check your CCTV now, before our inspectors come to visit your venue. They operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day in both metropolitan and regional areas.
