Make sure to account for historical retired jackpots before 10 March 2024

The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission would like to remind gaming venue operators of their obligations regarding any historical unpaid Jackpot Special Prize Pools (JSPP) of linked jackpot arrangements (LJA) that were retired between 16 August 2012 and 9 March 2023.

The deadline to comply with legislative requirements regarding historical JSPP is fast approaching.

For any historical unpaid JSPP, section 3.5.47 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 requires that you :

  • allocate the historical unpaid JSPP to another LJA in the venue by 10 March 2024,  or
  • pay any unallocated balance of the historical unpaid JSPP to the VGCCC by 17 March 2024 for further payment into the Responsible Gambling Fund.

For further information to assist you with complying with this requirement, please refer to:

Failure to meet these obligations by the prescribed dates may result in us taking enforcement action against non-compliant gaming venues.

Gaming venue operators are able to contact Intralot Gaming Services (IGS) should they require assistance with quantifying and allocating the JSPP balance on 1300 764 495 or [email protected]
